Value Stream Supervisor - 1St Shift

This position has the primary responsibility for overseeing and improving the manufacturing operations overall efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, safety, and quality for an identified value stream. It is responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for processes and productivity. It is responsible for analyzing production processes to identify the cause of problems using problem-solving methodologies, and the leadership and mentoring of High Performance Work Teams and their performance in order to create and implement solutions.

Two position openings; Shift Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm Mon-Fri, OT as needed

• Deliver agreed to value stream results in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, costs and associate satisfaction/development.
• Define and communicate performance targets for safety, quality, customer service, costs and associate satisfaction/development with Value Stream team. Hold team accountable to those targets.
• Develop and implement plans to provide process improvement in key areas defined above. Value stream improvement initiatives will be aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles and the manufacturing strategic plan.
• Establish an environment conducive to high levels of morale, associate satisfaction, and performance.
• Ensure alignment of activities and resources within the value stream, and ensure cross-organization collaboration and associate involvement where appropriate.
• Provide coaching, information, ideas, feedback and encouragement to associates and managers to promote the growth and development of the value stream team.
• Support new process innovations and improvement to product development & implementation.
• Be highly visible to associates and create a safe environment.

• Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience allowed
• 2-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in warehouse, manufacturing setting. 
• Experience managing large groups
• Ability to assess and react accordingly to workplace conflict, with the appropriate sense of urgency.
• Understanding & Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes
• Able to motivate hourly and salary employees
