ESOP Partners, LLC is a third-party administration and consulting firm with the mission to provide a liquid business transition solution for owners of closely-held businesses to establish, maintain and sustain an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) while maximizing the financial and many other benefits of being an ESOP company through the establishment of a strong employee ownership culture.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Valuation and M&A Analyst will be an essential part of our growing Business Consulting Team. This position will lead consulting and analysis efforts, including financial modeling, analysis, and presenting findings, bringing value to our current and potential client relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for the day-to-day management and execution of M&A transactions
- Assist in the preparation of company valuations, financial models, company marketing materials, and client presentations
- Perform company and industry research
- Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information
- Build relationships and maintain up-to-date contact and guidance with clients and professional advisors
- Engage in ongoing personal development in line with the company’s growth and development strategy
- Provide leadership in cross-functional projects and value-added activities
- Evaluate the efficiency of current procedures and make recommendations for improvements
- Effectively assemble information, generate, and communicate client forecast and feasibility study financial analyses using Microsoft Excel in an efficient and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to understand, analyze and utilize financial statements, tax returns, and other financial information
- Knowledge of and experience with financial analysis concepts such as business valuation, discounted cash flow analysis, financial forecasting and balance sheet, P/L, and cash flow statement analysis
- Working knowledge of 1120, 1120S, and 1065 tax returns
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience and skills
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- A focus on attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an outgoing and highly motivated personality
- Ability to work in an autonomous, fast-moving environment
- Willingness to take on additional work outside the scope of the job description
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS degree with a concentration in either Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Valuation, or M&A
Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License.
This position also requires a professional working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 computer software applications and Zoom. Employees will be expected to learn ESOP Partners’ proprietary software: ESOP Revolution.
