1‐800‐PACK‐RAT/Zippy Shell is a leader in the portable storage and moving industry. We now serve more than 200 million people in 65 markets nationwide and are still growing. Our Ecommerce/Digital Team is looking for a UX/UI Specialist to join our team and help us enhance our customers’ experience!

*This is a remote position, but applicants will need to work during EST business hours (M-F, 8 am – 5 pm EST). All applicants will also need to be able to show that they have a dedicated workspace.*


POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the UX Product Design Manager, this role will maximize sales and profitability by optimizing the digital customer experience. This role requires strong capabilities in the design, development, and execution of engaging, customer-focused user experiences across digital channels. This position will provide input and is expected to execute a consistent and cross-functional roadmap of the overall digital design across all channels.

The UX Specialist will support and ideate innovation and evolution of user experience on ecommerce platforms—websites, mobile apps, and digital marketing platforms—to support the company’s strategic goals. Responsibilities also include recommending and building strategic and tactical iterative changes that drive profitability by increasing visitors and customer engagement, optimizing conversion rates, and elevating brand recognition in the moving & storage sector.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

User Experience

  1. Support the UX/UI re-design of the direct-to-consumer websites.
  2. Execute and monitor brand standards across all digital and print marketing deliverables.
  3. Contribute and develop information architecture assets as required: Figma design system, information architecture, wireframes, comps, site maps.
  4. Define and implement memorable user experiences to drive engagement, conversions, sales, and profitability goals.
  5. Plan, execute and optimize based on real user testing.

Digital Execution

  1. Contribute at all phases of B2C website/mobile UX design & development, translating business needs into design solutions.
  2. Utilize hard data and measured user research to convert sales and customer service online.
  3. Implement best in breed UX/digital marketing tactics to drive digital goals: leads, conversions, sales, and automated customer service – all while delighting the customer.
  4. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (ecomm, content, SEO, search, social, UX/UI) and tracks to evolve complex use cases to simpler and smarter UX.
  5. Synergize website and digital marketing design and UX to optimize the customer experience.
  6. Digital marketing support through the creation of social graphics and video editing.
  7. Support Sales & Marketing Teams with designs for print ads, flyers, and digital designs.
  8. Utilize and design user testing platform(s) to optimize designs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or Information Technology.
  2. 3+ years’ work experience as an interactive designer, user experience specialist, or digital marketing professional.
  3. Familiarity with coding HTML and CSS.
  4. Agile software development experience.
  5. Solid working knowledge of cutting-edge UX/UI methodologies and marketing technologies.
  6. UX/Design experience in highly transactional ecommerce platforms.
  7. Travel, logistics/moving, or retail industry experience a plus.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  1. Strong experience with front-end technologies, including content performance, web applications, desktop, and mobile.
  2. Proficiency in design and digital marketing technology tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud, CMS (Sitecore preferred), marketing automation and ESP tools (Salesforce and Eloqua preferred), and prototyping tools (Figma preferred).
  3. Experience, or strong desire to utilize, AI technology to improve efficiency, along with the ability to stay up to date on its evolution.
  4. Knowledge of user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics (Google Analytics, MS Power BI), and usability findings.
  5. Solid understanding and track record of SEO and SEM in design/UX.
  6. Strong written, graphical, and spoken communication skills.
  7. Ability to work with developers within software product definitions.

  3. A professional portfolio of relevant design/prototyping samples (Must include a link or file in resume or application)

Qualifications

    • UX Product Design: 3 years (Required)
    • HTML, CSS: 2 years (Required)
    • Bachelor's (Preferred)
