Job Summary:
The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for candidates that are familiar in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and who will work with internal P&W business units, suppliers and partners to develop and continuously improve NDT systems. As a member of the Q&PE NDT team, you will provide Quality Engineering support to our Ultrasonic method activities, specifically longitudinal and shear wave immersion disk inspection.

Job Summary:
The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for candidates that are familiar in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and who will work with internal P&W business units, suppliers and partners to develop and continuously improve NDT systems. As a member of the Q&PE NDT team, you will provide Quality Engineering support to our Ultrasonic method activities, specifically longitudinal and shear wave immersion disk inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilization of UG or modeling software to layout designs for ultrasonic scan coverage.
- Identification and execution of scanning process improvements and cycle time reductions.
- Provide support to Sonic L3 and other method inspectors. Ability to work with several IPT's to provide sonic shape production feasibility guidance.
- Communicate with team leadership and management on status and risks to program schedule and coverage.
- Create part specific inspection sheets to insure maximum repeatable coverage of the region of interest is accomplished.
- Participate in weekly status meetings to upper management, CIPT's and executives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the design and fabrication of rotors, disks, & hubs.
- Understanding NDT Sonic process and procedures to inspect rotors, disks & hubs.
- Proficiency in Teamcenter, Unigraphics NX.
- Experience with MS Office products.
- Ability to obtain security clearance or hold Active US Government SECRET clearance.
