We are seeking a skilled user interface (UI) / user experience (UX) designer to join our team and help us create intuitive and engaging user interfaces and experiences for our in-house developed web applications, mobile apps and websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a track record of designing successful digital experiences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor degree in an IT, Design or User Experience related field OR four (4) years' experience in creating and implementing UI designs.
2. Two (2) years of experience in creating and implementing UI designs.
3. Two (2) years of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD or similar UI design tools.
2. Excellent UI design portfolio
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conducting user research to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors. This may involve surveys, interviews, usability testing, and analyzing data to inform design decisions. - 10%
2. Create technical and business requirements that deliver intuitive and user-center designs. - 5%
3. Developing and iterating on design concepts for user interfaces and experiences, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. - 10%
4. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure that designs are feasible and align with project goals. - 10%
5. Prepare and deliver presentations to key stakeholders and leadership related to new product designs or product updates. -5%
6. Conducting usability testing to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of designs, identifying areas for improvement, and iterating on designs based on feedback. - 5%
7. Develop responsive user interface designs that will transition seamlessly between desktop and mobile platforms. -30%
8. Creating detailed design specifications, style guides, and other documentation to ensure consistency and continuity across products and platforms. -10%
9. Developing original visual assets using industry standard tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD or Figma. - 5%
10. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, continually improving designs based on feedback and data, and advocating for the user throughout the design process. - 5%
11. Identifying UX problems and developing solutions and / or collaborating with software engineers to address issues. -5%
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Strong project management and people management skills.
2. Ability to prioritize tasks.
3. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to convey digital processes in simple terms.
4. Ability to work well under high stress conditions.
5. Collect and evaluate user requirements with the help of product managers and engineers.
6. Use wireframes, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate design concepts.
7. Optimize existing user interface designs.
8. Test for intuitively and experience.
9. Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions.
10. Make page navigation buttons and search fields.
11. Create UI mockups and prototypes that clearly show how sites work and look.
12. Develop image assets, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript utilized in UI.
13. Identify and resolve UX issues.
