Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer County, Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently growing and seeking a Turkey Service Representative to join our team in Fort Recovery.
The Turkey Service Representative will work closely with the production manager, other service managers and growers to continually monitor the health of turkeys.
Job Functions
- Coordinate all aspects of bird health while working with growers to manage each flock.
- Ensure good health of birds.
- Solve grower management problems.
- Use the PIP program for all growers who are having any management shortcomings.
- Solve turkey disease issues that arise.
- Follow through on all problem flocks.
- Follow and promote the sanitation SOPs that are in place for the turkey division.
- Communicate effectively with growers.
- Complete all records, fill out reports and visit farms weekly.
- Train all growers on proper husbandry techniques, animal welfare guidelines and procedures.
- Make sure all required paperwork is completed and in the proper location at each farm.
- Make suggestions that will assist the Turkey Division in becoming more efficient.
