Reporting to the CJTS Deputy Director, a qualified candidate would be an enthusiastic employee, whom can complete data entry, be customer focused, detail orientated, and can follow established policies and confidentiality requirements. The Treatment Court Support Specialist will provide support to the Coordinators of Outagamie County Treatment Courts, providing light case management duties for Treatment Court participants and performing related duties toward the objectives and goals of the Outagamie County Treatment Courts.
**This position is a Part-Time position that is contracted through Manpower. This is also a limited term position.The hours for this role are:
Must be able to work on the days the treatment courts meet. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8 to 4:30.
The following duties are most critical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Attends Unit and other meetings as required.
- Maintains accurate records and prepares reports and documentation for treatment court meetings.
- Responds to routine client needs in a timely manner.
- Works in conjunction with an interdisciplinary team.
- Coordinates with treatment court coordinators to ensure participant needs are met.
- As mandatory reporters, contact the intake worker located in the Children, Youth, and Families Division or the Adult Protective Services Division if abuse or neglect is suspected or witnessed.
- Navigate numerous systems and databases.
- Decipher complex documents such as legal documents, program progress reports, participant worksheets, and treatment records.
- Complete and update releases of information.
- Enter data in multiple systems and databases, including the web-based Comprehensive Outcome, Research and Evaluation program. Assist with development of quarterly and annual treatment court reports.
- Maintain spreadsheets with treatment court data.
- Assist treatment court coordinators with activities related to referrals, drug and alcohol testing, multi-disciplinary treatment court team staffing and treatment court status hearings.
- Provide coverage for treatment court coordinators, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree in behavioral science or a related field preferred.
- Two years of experience with the respective target group preferred.
- Adhere to policies, procedures and defined court related standards.
- Skill in organization including paperwork, time management and prioritization of multiple demands.
- Comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including participant charts, medical, and clinical reports, school records, policy and procedure manuals, etc.
- Prepare a variety of documents including quarterly and annual data reports, treatment court progress reports, treatment court status hearing notes, letters and other correspondence, etc.
- Work well in a team environment displaying a supportive and positive attitude.
- Communicate effectively with participants, community agencies and service providers, psychiatrists, physicians, and other medical professionals, attorneys, Human Services personnel, school personnel, and others verbally and in writing.
- Basic level knowledge of substance use disorders and/or mental illness, the effects on individuals and their families, treatment courts, and community resources.
- Ability to be flexible and responsive as demands change, work independently and be a positive team member.
- Ability to use a variety of software and operate a variety of office equipment including computer, calculator, telephone, scanner and fax machine.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and to calculate decimals and percentages.
Wisconsin driver's licensure and ability to transport oneself as needed.
