Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Journeyman Traveling Riggers for projects located in and around the Perry Square, PA area. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of $25-32/hour based on experience plus $125/day per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Rig equipment, machinery, & material using slings, chain falls, comealongs, & other gear, etc.
Operate forklift with extend-able boom
Plan, specify, & position rigging equipment for accomplishing work in a safe and efficient manner
Lend technical assistance to supervisor & other personnel
Install, remove equipment
Set up crane for lift
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
3+ Years of Rigging and/or Shipyard Experience Preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports & correspondence
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry, work with ratios, etc.
Proper PPE
Must be willing to acquire hoisting license
Ability to read & interpret job specifications
Knowledge of rigging gear such as block & tackle, chain falls, slings, jacks, rollers, & comealongs
Ability to use hand signals for cranes
