Dallas-Fort Worth Ortho has an opening for a Traveling Orthodontic Lead Dental Assistant in Dallas, TX. We provide a working environment like no other dental office you have ever seen! Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing the Ortho RDA's
  • Help manage the back office staff as well as the systems and operations
  • Communicates with the patients (parents/guardians), orthodontist and other team members effectively
  • Restocks all orthodontic treatment rooms and other clinical support areas
  • Performs periodic inventory of all orthodontic supplies
  • Responsible for traveling crate of orthodontic supplies between multiple locations
  • Keeps the patient schedule on time by being aware of the daily schedule, working efficiently and as a member of a cohesive team 
  • Takes x-rays as prescribed
  • Assists the orthodontist with all assisting duties, including orthodontic procedures
  • Records treatment rendered
  • Instructs patients in oral hygiene
  • Maintains cleanliness of treatment rooms and sterilization area
  • Proficient in using conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques in managing interpersonal conflict and patient complaints Is organized, motivated, committed and self-directed
  • Demonstrates ability to use assigned computer software and other equipment
  • Completes annual education and/or licensing requirements, if applicable
  • Adheres to all safety and infection control rules
  • Uses appropriate safety equipment.
  • Complies with HIPAA and maintains confidential information
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 1 year of previous orthodontic lead experience
  • In depth knowledge of all orthodontics dental assistant duties
  • All required certifications for dental assisting
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations within a territory to provide orthodontic dental assisting services is required
  • Outstanding positive attitude and demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of all company policies and rules
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
