JOB SUMMARY This Operations role involves overseeing Delivery activities. Key responsibilities include strategic project management, expense and revenue oversight, compliance with regulations, supervision of delivery staff, and ensuring safety and security in the delivery department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the daily tasks and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel, and associates.
- Ensure effective management of daily delivery activities, including adherence to procedures, planned routes, and providing customer service.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain accurate records.
- Manage labor hours, travel, fuel, and supplies efficiently.
- Prepare work schedules and oversee asset utilization.
- Coordinate repairs and evaluate routing effectiveness.
- Communicate with stakeholders to address issues and enhance delivery services.
- Establish and update software systems for productivity and routing.
- Preserve associate relations through meetings and open communication.
- Monitor associate morale and implement engagement strategies.
- Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
- Collaborate with Safety department for training, safety measures, and investigations.
- Provide disciplinary action and staff management.
- Perform duties of supervised associates as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree.
Experience
- 7 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License and certifications.
Professional Skills
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
