About the Role: The Training and Development Specialist works directly with the VP of Operations to develop and conduct world-class training programs for our team.
- Design, develop, and deploy a wide variety of training methods including hands-on, classroom, custom training modules. Implement unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job performance.
- Adapt delivery methods and content based on the audience, training objectives, and feedback to maximize training effectiveness. Utilize instructional design methodologies to ensure training content is structured, interactive, and caters to diverse learning styles.
- Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Partner with the Chief Operations Officer, VP of Operations, and the Human Resources Director, to identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience; cultivate open communication with employees regarding work experiences, and achievements. Research best practices for employee engagement among competitive organizations.
- This position is based in our Walnut Creek corporate office and requires up to 75% travel to our facilities to assess training needs and to provide on-site training.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or related field and 3 year’s proven experience in training program design, adult learning principles, and training facilitation. Strong proficiency in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.).
