Performs inventory and warehouse control of traffic control devices, equipment, tools and parts. Layout, fabricates, installs and maintains traffic control devices. Tracks use of traffic control devices. Duties include safe driving skills.
- Lays out, fabricates and maintains traffic control devices in accordance with the federal Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
- Manages computerized inventory and warehouse control of traffic control devices.
- Contacts vendors for supplies and tools.
- Installs traffic control devices.
- Tracks use of traffic control devices and related materials using stock tickets.
- Interacts with the public on traffic control matters.
- Performs vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operating condition.
- Required on call rotation.
- Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience required.
LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATES:
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker, air brake endorsements required upon hire.
- MSHA Certification required within 180 days of hire.
- Flagger Certification required within 180 days of hire.
- CPR and First Aid Certification required within 180 days of hire.
- American Traffic Safety Services Association Traffic Control Supervisor Certification required within 180 days of hire.
