Bons Barricades, Inc. is a Traffic Control Management company seeking an experienced and hard-working Traffic Control Technician to join our growing team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform set up and taking down of road closuresSetting up and removing temporary signs, cones and other traffic control equipment to divert traffic from work areaOperates company trucks to transport equipment to the job site and set up MOTHelp control traffic and assist with the construction projectCheck work zone throughout the shift to be sure the equipment is in proper locationTake directions from customers and officials as it relates to the project
Communicate and document effectively with the customer and officeCreate a safe work zone that ensures that traffic stays out of the way of the workers. This involves setting up cones and safety barriers that show traffic where to drive, as well as holding up signs that tells traffic to either stop or to proceed slowly.Work independently or part of a crewMust be flexible to the schedule changes and available on weekends and holidays
Skills and Qualifications -High School Diploma2-3 years of Traffic Control ExperienceCertification in Traffic Control a MUSTMust have a valid Drivers LicenseFull knowledge of the current local FDOT temporary traffic control standardsComputer LiterateEfficient in planning, organizing and safety
