- Our client is a leading manufacturer and installer of stains and color solutions for concrete and masonry. They partner with architects, contractors, and property owners to transform brick, block, stone, concrete, or other masonry surfaces. Projects range from fifty story precast high rises to Main Street restoration projects. Headquartered in Hanover Park, they have been around since 1988 and are looking for a Territory Sales Representative to help cover the lucrative and well-established Chicago and upper Midwest territory.
- In this role, the Territory Sales Representative will cover the Illinois and upper Midwest territory (travel ~25%). They need confident people who know the commercial construction and masonry/concrete world and have a proven track record of sales success. Sales professional who have experience in concrete and masonry are ideal, must have at least commercial construction sales experience. This is a hybrid position, with some time in the Hanover Park office, and the bulk at home and in the field (once established).
Responsibilities:
- Developing strategic plans and communicating sales goals
- Forecasting sales, implementing innovative sales strategies
- Traveling mostly across the Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota markets to generate new clients and follow up on existing (travel ~25%)
- Perform Estimates to clients based off either walkthroughs or blueprints/drawings
- Service a large volume of clients including repeat and new business
- Follow up consistently on new and existing leads and project progress
- Building and maintaining a network of sources from which to identify new leads
- Communicating effectively with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups
- Recommending improvement to boost performance
- Attending trade shows, conferences, and educational venues to keep ahead of new industry trends and developments
Qualifications:
- Ability to travel within the territory of IL, WI, IA, MN (~25%)
- A record of proven success in Sales, preferably within territory
- Experience in concrete staining & coating preferred
- Experience in commercial construction required
- Ability to generate estimates from walk throughs and blueprints/drawings required
- Good driving record, ability to pass background check
Compensation:
- Total compensation in the 100k - 150k/year range; which includes a base salary of 50k/year and 9% commission on gross profit (current reps in this territory are at 150k/year)
