Your impact:

Delish is looking for a TikTok- and food-obsessed, enthusiastic Temporary Emerging Platforms Editor to help ideate, produce, and edit social videos. This person should be well-versed in food content online and love cooking. Ideal candidate will have a solid sense of what type of content people respond to on TikTok and Instagram, be able to identify trends, and be able to iterate accordingly.

The Temporary Emerging Platforms Editor will be responsible for pitching ideas (including identifying existing Delish content to repurpose as social videos), reviewing pitches from editors, helping prep editors before shooting (providing inspiration videos and shot lists), and providing feedback on footage for best performance. We're looking for a self-starter who is comfortable using metrics to help inform their work.

This is a contract role for 35 hours/week, hybrid in the Delish New York City office.
 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute innovative content strategy across new and developing platforms and/or features including but not limited to TikTok, Threads, Broadcast Channels.
  • Oversee and manage the majority of Delish's short form video content to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
  • Closely monitor social media platforms and content performance, and report relevant insights to the larger team.
  • Actively participate and execute on monthly pitch meetings.
  • Work closely with the Video & Post-Production teams to transfer, edit, and approve social video content.
  • Occasionally edit, film and/or participate in the creation of short form video content for Delish's social platforms.
  • Monitor and engage across social media platforms and communicate audience feedback.

Who You Are:

  • A social media editor with 2+ years of professional social media experience, strong editorial judgment and clean writing skills.
  • Someone who loves spotting and trying the newest social trends.
  • A savvy strategist who knows how to utilize social platforms (including TikTok, Threads and other Emerging Platforms) and tools like Google Analytics to help performance and engagement inform content.
  • A team player and lover of fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  • Someone with a sense of humor and a clear, creative snappy writing style.
  • Organized, enthusiastic, and solutions-oriented

The hourly rate for this role is $35/hour. The actual pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
