The Tech Engineer - Mobility Is responsible for guiding team members and development efforts towards successful delivery of projects. Ensuring development adheres to the meticulous guidelines and principles of Norfolk Southern's Mobility Center of Excellence. Roles in the Software Engineering Talent Family perform activities focused on design, development, and deployment of IT technology capabilities and applications using core technology tools (e.g., frameworks, development languages) aligned to the broader Norfolk Southern IT architecture and business priorities.
- Maintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing best practices and habits for other developers to follow.
- Participates in all parts of the software development lifecycle, using principles such as Agile methodology.
- Collaborates with other developers, architects, and product owners to plan, design, develop, and test software applications.
- Mentors and guides other developers on best practices and technical standards.
- Identifies areas for improvement and growth within the team.
- Prepares system documentation and adheres to security standards and policies.
- Assists product owners in the development of user stories.
- Minimum 3 -5 years
- Preferred 6 - 8 years
- Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree (BS)
