About the Role: Our Technical Accounting Team is looking for a Technical Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will provide a full range of technical accounting services including research related to transactions and emerging accounting issues, and new accounting and reporting requirements. This role will also include partnering with the Reporting and Consolidation Team to ensure accurate and compliant external financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and coordination with external auditors. Required to meet at one of our sites in Newark, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland monthly, and at least one international trip is required annually.
This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, hybrid or fully remote work allowedin most locations within driving distance to Newark, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Responsibilities:
- Draft or review technical white papers (memorandums) to address accounting issues/transactions
- Issue technical accounting polices for our global organization and provide training
- Provide US GAAP technical guidance on an ad-hoc basis
- Partner with regional, divisional and corporate accounting teams and the business functions to ensure accurate financial statements
- Liase with external auditors and other external consultants/service providers
- Support the implementation of new accounting standards
- Support the accounting for acquisitions and divestitures and other significant transacts as they arise
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Support the internal control environment
Required Qualifications:
- CPA with minimum 5 years of external "Big 4" auditing experience
- Experience with financial statements, consolidations and external reporting
- Experience with process/controls documentation
- Acquisition and divestiture experience
- Strong US GAAP technical knowledge and research capability
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international environment
- Ability to travel 5% ( Required to meet at one of our sites in Newark, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland monthly, and at least one international trip is required annually.)
