Team Leader Maintenance Electronics

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all control system engineering aspects of Siemens (involving PLC Siemens (Simatic S7-1500), HMI Siemens WinCC, VFD (variable frequency drives: Sinamics G150/S120, SEW, Lenze 9400) while ensuring compliance with standards and current legislation, are maintained.
• Lead and organize the planning, maintenance and modifications of control systems.
• Debug and optimize automated processes to maximize cycle time, improve availability and yield.
• Introduce automated processes into production, and train Electrical and Production Teams to support after deployment into production.
• Architect, write, and debug PLC programs.
• Support and create machines interactions with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) from PLC side.
• Maintain records of problems, maintenance procedures and repairs.
• Coordinate all aspects of the Siemens control system, to operate efficiently and effectively to predetermined and agreed standards, and within budgetary constraints and quality standards.
• Attend any meetings required as part of the normal duties, including occasional trips abroad.
• Operate as supervisor of the electronics team, helping to achieve optimum plant utilisation and efficiency.
• Use existing and implement new safe working practices.
• Provide a technical support for team in your department and production supervisors.
• Occasionally (2-3 weeks per year) for training and (domestic & international) meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Controls Engineering
• Four (4) years of experience as Automation Team Lead, Automation Engineer, Technician or related
• Applicant must have the following experience with:
  • (4 years) Industrial automation sector
  • (4 years) Evaluating and selecting electrical control system components including circuit protection devices, sensors, relays, contractors, actuators, timers, counters, motors and various types of DC/AC drives.
  • (4 years) Programming and commissioning Siemenc PLC's using TIA Portal and Simatic Manager
  • (3 years) Development of projects in SIMATIC WinCC Professional RT - Siemens SCADA software
  • (2 years) Commissioning, Troubleshooting, Maintenance frequency converters: SINAMICS, Lenze Inverter Drives 8400 & Servo Drives 9400, and SEW.
  • (1 year) Using manufacturers' documentation and software, flow charts, and diagrams for efficient troubleshooting and repair of electrical/electronic system problems.
  • Using wiring, connection, schematic and ladder logic diagrams to troubleshoot control systems.
  • Analyze and fixing malfunctions on hydraulic systems SPC for ContiRoll press.
  • Commissioning, Troubleshooting, Maintenance IWLAN - the Wireless LAN for industrial applications.
