Team Engagement Director Job Description
This unique opportunity is for a talented individual who is ready to be a strategic thought partner with a highly engaged leadership team, leveraging their ability to build relationships within a team and join as a Culture and Team Engagement Leader. They will be a voice for both the team members and Leadership team. This person would be a champion for growth for our multi-million dollar small business.
This person should demonstrate the follow characteristics:
Growth-Oriented: Explores new ideas and opportunities to produce results for the Chick-fil-A restaurant and team members.
Guest-obsessed through team execution: Understands that a high level of consistent execution builds trust with the guest which leads to a high level of trust from the guest. This leads to more guest relationships that allow us to know their heart.
Ability to Lead and Motivate: Can motivate the team to give of themselves to serve the guest a great experience and not be just a transaction.
We are looking for a leader with:
- Passion for the CFA Brand & Culture, showing a willingness to learn our unique business strategy to drive growth through consistant execution from team members.
- Readiness to provide ongoing feedback of team member performance through check in process.
- Ability to show care to the team member by tracking growth and showing areas of opportunity for growth.
- An infectious attitude of competence, a ‘can-do’ spirit and ability to be a role model serving as the positive voice of the brand.
- Ability to communicate how the core fundamentals of Pursuing mastery, Owning the Numbers and Helping Others Win drives sales growth.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Be a strategic thought partner concerning team member development
- Accountability of the team to meet execution goals
- Work with training director on recurring training for team members
- Implement and track the 30-60-90 day check in process and team challenge cards
List of Examples and Roles of Team Engagement Director:
- Build a strong relationship with Production Leaders to drive daily feedback to team members
- Increasing overall team capacity by positively challenging team members in their professional growth
- Partnering with the Area Training Director on continual training and rollouts of new procedures
- Learning and living the Chick-fil-A Way (e.g., culture, values, mission, etc.)
- Directing a team of ambassadors that help manage the calendar of feedback
- Collaborating with Front of House Director in building strong engagement between Production Leaders and team members
- Developing and leading systems to ensure the 30-60-90 day check in takes place and the team challenge cards are in process
- Managing the rating system on OneClickApp for team member daily feedback with the Production Leaders
- Providing weekly status updates on check ins and challenge cards to Director of Operations
- Occasionally leading the team with opening or closing the restaurant
- Carrying out Pathway trainings among the team
- Continuing to learn and grow professional skill set while simultaneously elevating the team mindset
- Supporting the Operations team during rush hours

Compensation:
- Beginning Pay range $18/ hour to $20/ hour, depending on experience
- Benefits provided at Full-Time (32 hours or more)

In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day.
