We are seeking a Talent Partner x2 (internal title Associate Director) based in New York, Washington D.C and London to support with talent management, employer branding and work in partnership with designated portfolios.

The People and Culture (P&C) team works with the organisation to create a culture and workplace that embodies and promotes our organizational values, enabling us the delivery of societal impact. The P&C team is structured by a number of departments to include people advisory, centres of expertise, HR systems & analytics, and an employee support service.

The role of Talent Partner sits within the global Talent Acquisition team (an HR centre of expertise). The Talent Acquisition team are responsible for recruitment; talent, succession & resource planning; proactive talent pool and talent pipeline management and Employer Brand activation. The Talent Partner, working in partnership with hiring managers and Advisory Partners, provide direction and guidance that will ensure the best hiring decisions by fully understanding their staffing needs, and creating new strategies for identifying, sourcing and recruiting candidates across a variety of industries and geographic locations.

As a Talent Partner you will have/be:

  • Overall accountability for developing and delivering a forward-looking (1-3 years) talent strategy & resource plan, developed from skills needs analysis, aligned to the talent needs of the regions, programs, tools or operating units
  • Responsible for articulating and pro-actively maintaining the succession plan (for your leadership stakeholder groups), linking this into the talent strategy and resource plan and supporting input into development plans (via HRPs, line managers and talent development team)
  • Accountable and responsible for delivery of executive search mandates (all level F and G) including detailed talent research, direct sourcing and market mapping, and managing complex offers; as well as contingent based hiring for complex level E roles. This will include maintaining contact with primary prospects as well as gateway prospects
  • Responsible for developing and then activating a localised employer brand plan for your portfolio of stakeholders (regions, programs, tools or operating units), working alongside the Employer Brand Manager
  • Oversight and accountability of all other hiring (via a third party outsource vendor) for your portfolio of stakeholders - ensuring quality of delivery & adherence to Open Society processes
  • Developing and delivering talent pipelining strategies for current & future skills and capabilities needs


What we are looking for:
  • Experience of developing longer-term (1-3 years) talent plans based on detailed workforce parameters using a combination of permanent, FTC and interim workers to be deployed appropriately to meet with objectives of Open Society
  • Track record of delivering succession plans for senior leadership groups and building a talent pipelining strategy based on leadership risks
  • Experience of international executive search; direct sourcing and management of candidate prospects of a senior level, maintaining long term relationships, then acquiring the selected talent for leadership positions at OSF globally (for example levels F and G); including a track record of delivering detailed research and management of active talent pools
  • Successfully deployed a global employer brand strategy, developing localised employer branding initiatives (for region, programs, tools or operating units); connected to an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and the talent strategy
  • Proven success at managing, and negotiating with, high-value third parties & building trusted external partnerships; for example retained executive search firms and/or RPO provider
  • Expertise and training in candidate assessment methodologies (i.e. Hogan, JDI model, Predictive Index, YSC, SHL as examples - this list is not exhaustive)

  • For our office in New York City, the salary range for this role is 102,500 - 189,600 USD plus benefits. The final offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set and level of experience.
