Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting the campus recruiting process for the practice, while recruiting qualified individuals to fill experienced hire positions and maintaining the management of the firm’s retention programs. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing candidate interviews and providing services to candidates in other aspects of the recruiting process including event planning (i.e. campus activities, job fairs and internship program activities, firm events, etc.). The Specialist drives recruiting activities at the transactional level; develops and maintains relationships with practice leaders; helps to improve firm morale and plan firm wide events; and works to determine short- and long-term recruiting plans. This role requires internal and external facing relationships at the campus/experienced hire level and will require some travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the campus recruiting strategy including identifying creative approaches to campus recruiting.
  • Recruit to fill experienced hire positions with the best talent. Meet diversity, gender, and other sourcing and recruiting goals for the designated business unit.
  • Attend all campus career fair activities and mixers, maintaining files of the events.
  • Build relationships and maintain consistent communication with interested candidates before and after the interview process. Maintain database of candidates for follow up at a later date in the experienced hiring area.
  • Participate in the candidate selection. Organize and execute final candidate selection process and communications including sending out offer/negate letters to appropriate candidates.
  • Plan and manage on-campus and virtual interview schedules, including grouping candidates when appropriate and scheduling appropriate client service team members to participate.
  • Plan and manage the office visit process, including determining the interviewers and scheduling the interviews.
  • Provide just-in-time support (i.e. last-minute cancellations, rescheduling) for on-campus visits/interviews and office visits/interviews including on-site logistical issues and troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with Practice Growth for branding, strategy and messaging of campus and experienced recruitment. Develop specific branded collateral for specific area/practice needs. Manage recruiting merchandise (including display panels).
  • Plan and execute campus events, and Internship programs.
  • Source candidates from recruiting websites. Conduct phone screens of candidates when appropriate.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews with experienced candidates and prepare written assessments.
  • Maintain a constant and steady focus on the marketplace and disseminate market intelligence to key client groups.
  • Develop and execute activities within the firm to increase retention, including firm wide events, special games/in-office fun, and departmental functions.
  • Serve as a resource in people-related change management consulting, communications, training and other organizational effectiveness consulting and support.
  • Responsible for coaching of lower-level employees, when approached by employees for guidance.
  • Communicate issues timely and appropriately to firm leadership when problems arise.
  • Support the on-boarding/integration processes and programs for all Interns, Campus Hires, and Experienced Hires including the assignment of buddies and coaches.
  • Provide new hire paperwork to candidate and assist with the onboarding process.
  • Complete new hire background investigations, employment verifications, employee referral forms, etc.
  • Be responsive, open, and willing to assist with special projects and assume additional responsibilities.
  • Promote a positive firm image, reputation, and culture.

Skills, Education and/or Experience:

  1. Minimum of an associate or bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience with approximately 1-4 years of experience preferred; Human Resources or recruiting-related experience a plus.
  2. Ability to effectively use Outlook, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. Experience with recruiting information/applicant tracking systems, such as ADP, LinkedIn, Monster, Handshake and Simplicity is a plus.
  4. Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills including effective writing and speaking skills as well as flexibility to accommodate different personalities and professional work styles.
  5. Strong project management skills with the ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to complete work in an efficient and accurate manner.
  6. Ability to be team oriented, organized, dependable, trustworthy and able to multi-task.
