Form of workTrane Technologies, the global leader in innovative climate solutions for a sustainable world, is seeking a Systems Account Manager to join our team in Latham, NY. In this role you will be responsible for developing trusting customer relationships and maximizing account share and customer retention with mechanical contractor and consulting engineering accounts.
Location: We are growing and open to hiring the right candidate in Latham, NY. This position is hybrid and can work from home up to two (2) days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Work with assigned customers for HVAC systems & equipment product selections, application, proposals, and sales development.
- Assist in Project Estimating, work with our Estimating Team to perform Proposals for our Customers
- Assist in Project Execution, work with our customers and project managers to fulfill projects
- Grow our Ductless, VRF, Applied and Unitary market with our customers.
- Provide knowledge and consultation in the form of developing HVAC system related solutions for the customer's problems
- Consistently ascertain customer needs and current market opportunities. Assemble and coordinate acquisition team as needed for customers and projects.
- Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required sales team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process.
- Develop and execute an account specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable, and successful partnership.
- Assist customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane Products, and relevant industry issues.
- Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During the site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in facilities or HVAC systems.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business OR equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems
- Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 3 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 base salary, plus commission
