System Administrator

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our client is a long-standing construction organization with multiple US Locations. They offer a wide array of products and are consistently finding ways to improve business operations. The IT leadership allows for a high level of autonomy and an individual in this role can expect to play a pivotal part of the organizations IT team.

WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER THIS?
This is a highly visible role within the IT department and has direct influence on strategic business decisions through the utilization of business efficiency tools, ERP/MIS/IT systems, process improvement, and collaboration with business unit stakeholders. You will be leading

the utilization and management of information systems to direct key business decisions. You will be working as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing recommendations for utilization of information systems including making recommendations for upgrades and migrations.

• Compensation: Up to $95,000 starting + Bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

• Build, monitor, and maintain overall network
• Monitor usage, vulnerability, and capabilities of the system
• Support enterprise Information Systems with scheduled upgrades
• Mentor IT Support staff - Desktop and Help Desk personnel
• SME of all systems related programs – managing servers, routers, proprietary software, and ad hoc projects
• Implementing and updating software systems used for business operations
• Presentation and reporting to Executive Leadership Team in regard to usage, areas of improvement, and maintenance of systems
• Managing permissions to the system
• Recommending cost saving initiatives to management focused on systems usage and utilization

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred but not required
• 3+ years of working experience in Systems Administration
• Experience with setting up and maintain network components
• Microsoft Server Management - including Microsoft Hyper-V
• Experience in an Aruba network environment is desirable
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills with presentations to Executive Leadership/Board of Directors
• Strong analytical mindset – ability to research, gather, and process key financial/operations information
