Role purpose
Ensure organization, resources, people development and training are in place to run & improve the departments performance.
Set & Achieve target declarations for both the office and the logistic team.
Develop and continuously improve the plan and execution of material and information flow by utilizing efficient processes and available capacities and resources in order to meet customer demand, enhance material flow and optimize inventory.
Ensure compliance to policies, standards, and governance of Supply Chain processes (including DES). Execute divisional Supply Chain strategy.
Key responsibilities
Strategy Formation and Implementation
Develop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.
Leadership and Direction
Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan, and the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
Supply Planning
Execute planning activities within a defined framework/system with dependencies on other processes/units.
Supplier Management
Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of smaller suppliers to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier.
Budgeting
Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.
Inventory Control
Achieve specific goals for plant direct inventory
Health, Safety and Environment
Follow the organization's Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) policies, procedures and mandatory instructions, to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve these, escalating serious issues as appropriate.

Manage the transportation of goods and supplies for a medium-sized organization using existing procedures; review and recommend improvements to procedures to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.
