The Role at a Glance:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Supply Chain Buyer will analyze material demand and issue and manage Purchase Orders to fulfill those requirements while minimizing the commitment of company assets.
What You'll be Doing:
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders
- Expedite orders and outside processes to increase material availability for production
- Develop and analyze statistical purchased parts data
- Perform data analysis and reduce the commitment of assets wherever possible
- Communicate with suppliers, operations, as well as departmental associates
- Work with engineering to ensure current parts specifications
- Meet productivity standards as required for this position
- Other duties as needed per management
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; may substitute for the degree direct applicable work experience
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while performing multiple detail-oriented tasks
- Some previous purchasing or materials planning experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, analytical abilities, problem solving skills
- Competent in spread sheet use
- General office skills and or experience
- Some previous purchasing or materials planning experience preferred
- EPICOR ERP system experience preferred
