This position will have a home base of Hanover Park, IL and candidate will need to live close to the Hanover Park site. The position will require 50% travel to sites in Dallas, TX and Aurora, CO.

Position Summary:

The Supplier Relations Field Operations Analyst role supports the Operational business function by preparing, analyzing, reporting and acting upon operational and non-compliance data as well as helps drive financial improvements by supporting inbound operations. This position will use computer-based decision support tools, EDI reporting tools, and mainframe to enhance the performance and efficiency of operational functions that enforce requirements that are outlined in the Global Supplier Guide. Will act as the primary gatekeeper of all non-compliance operational issues to drive actions and results from multiple functions and will support the ongoing development and enhancement of the process to create efficiencies and results with our supplier base. This role will be responsible for developing cross-functional strategies to help mitigate supply chain costs and drive process improvements to help reduce and eliminate RQV (Receiving Quantity Variance) enhancing the customer experience. The position will also support development of standardized operating procedures, documentation and processes. This position will have direct responsibilities with twelve of our larger DC’s across both the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy relational databases and automated workflows to increase efficiencies for current and ongoing operational processes that drive the customer experience and improve and support inbound teams.
  • Aid in the development of strategic and tactical cross-functional performance metrics.
  • Manage compliance reporting and operational execution activities throughout all cross-functional organizations.
  • Drive Supplier Performance Analyst performance by clearly articulating supplier requirement misses and participate in negotiations to meet the requirements outlined in the Global Supplier Guide.
  • Train internal customers and peers on the use of tools and processes created for Supplier Management.
  • Create a world class internal customer service program helping to deliver solutions that improve processes for Portfolio Management, Finance, Distribution, Transportation, Inventory Planning, Ecommerce, and Purchasing.
  • Develop cross-functional team that will help develop and implement future company strategies that build on current and future supplier requirements assist with advanced Distribution auditing tools.
  • Engagement and support driving operational excellence through productivity and quality.
  • Support supplier discussions regarding non-compliance issues delivering solutions that contribute to both companies.
  • Support the management of the compliance P&L maintain and up-date analytics and reporting for month, quarter, year closings. Ensure that we meet all the audit requirements.
  • Provide insight and execution into our current EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) capabilities and percentage utilization.
  • Support EDI integrations and implementations to enhance operational efficiencies
  • Proactively address habitual failures and support the broader Supplier Relations Team on driving Supplier performance.
  • Understand and drive quality of all EDI transactions – 850, 855, 856, 810.
  • Engage and support all levels of the Operational Leadership/Facility Teams.
  • Understand Distribution Operations – Receiving, Backstock (put away and picking), Shipping.
  • Approximately 50% travel to other DC sites

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent work experience (Supply Chain logistics, Distribution management information systems) is required.
  • 3+ years experience, preferably in a high volume, multi-location distribution environment, concentrating in distribution operations, inventory management, or transportation.
  • Agile and flexible. Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment and move from project to project as needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of PC applications, specifically Excel and Power BI. Experience in relational databases using SQL preferred.
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities. Shown experience in analyzing significant amounts of data and converting information into actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution.
