As a Supplier Quality Engineer for John Deere Commercial Products located in Grovetown, GA, you will....
- Facilitate DPAR (Design Process and Assembly Review) reviews to ensure quality planning alignment among cross functional teams and suppliers
- Use FMEA (Failure Modes Effects Analysis) to establish approval criteria to identify quality failure concerns for both internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies
- Verify supplier manufacturing processes (control plans, assembly instructions) and confirms process capability.
- Verify and approve quality plan documentation (PPAP - Production Part Approval Process) prior to production launch.
- Investigate supplier quality related issues and concerns related to product and processes.
- Gather and analyze data, determine root cause, facilitates resolution, and implement corrective actions.

- Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing execution and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities.
- Knowledge of supply management systems, processes, and practices.
- Knowledge of products, customers, markets, and competitors.
- Knowledge of advanced quality tools such as Design of experiments and regression analysis.
- Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality
- Six Sigma Black Belt
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
