This position will serve as the lead of the Technology Solutions team within the Chief Information Office of the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation's (PEO STRI). In this position you will be responsible for leading, and collaborating with, teams of government civilians and contractors to provide technology solutions to the Program Executive Office. These solutions include traditional Information Technology services.

Specialized Experience:
In order to qualify for this position, an applicant's resume must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Advising on cybersecurity policy and guidance to establish appropriate organization wide cybersecurity management structure and related business processes, procedures, and practices; 2) Implementing IT policy and security measures to ensure information technology program(s) meet organization standards; 3) Developing IT strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives for adopting and deploying modern technologies; and 4) Briefing management on evolving technology vulnerabilities to determine or meet security requirements.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent).
This is a DOD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for the demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-IV of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-14 through GS-15 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified job classification, streamlined hiring processes, and expanded developmental opportunities.
Back to Basics: Practitioner Certification (formerly Level II): This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for (ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT) certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
