Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor supervises a warehouse personnel team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. They are responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the warehouse's shipping and receiving operations, including the safety and health of products and employees.
This individual is a "working" supervisor and will be on the floor approximately 95% of the time, working with and developing team members concerning order picking, receiving loading/unloading trucks, or other assignments as directed by management.
Essential Functions / General Accountabilities
- Lead a team of 4 employees and ensure efficient and safe operations of shipping & receiving activities.
- Maintain the company's health & safety policies, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the warehouse.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services within the warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standard for the customer.
- Check incoming materials against bills of lading, packing slips,
- Maintaining records of goods received and damaged goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any logistical issues.
Job Qualifications
- 2-4 years of Warehouse shipping receiving experience
- Experience in a Lead role required,
- Experience in Fragrance and Flavor industry is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
- Clear, concise, written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proven leadership capability with a demonstrated ability to build, mentor, train, grow and lead a team.

Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a manufacturing and assembly environment and is regularly exposed to cool and/or cold temperatures. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, reach, and lift for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees must use their hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and/or tools. The employee is required to talk or hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
