The Echocardiography Supervisor works very closely with the Echo Providers as well as other departments at Mayo Clinic Arizona to provide seamless care for our patients with complex cardiac disease. The Echocardiography Supervisor must demonstrate knowledge of management and leadership principles, work as a member of a multidisciplinary leadership team, and communicate critical information to their staff. The Echocardiography Supervisor is responsible for daily operations at the Scottsdale and Phoenix Campuses.
The Echocardiography Supervisor functions as a cardiac sonographer approximately 25% of the time; with remaining 75% time spent on supervisory duties. Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to, EPIC and EIMS reporting, Echo program development, personnel management (Staff scheduling/PTO), and practice improvement initiatives. The Echocardiography Supervisor are accountable for meeting quality assurance standards required by ICAEL.

Additional Qualifications
License or Certification
* Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and references indicating outstanding technical skills in all modes (e.g., transthoracic, stress, pharmacologic stress, and transesophagael ) of echocardiography required.
Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.

Additional Qualifications
- ACS preferred
- Credentialed sonographer with 5 years clinical experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience required.
- 3 years of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Works flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as indicated.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Must be dependable and develop professional working relationships with allied health staff and physicians.
