Address This position consists of responsibility for the maintenance and cleanliness of a multistory apartment building in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. It will involve both routine and preventive maintenance.
Duties include daily cleaning of the lobby and all public areas, including the sidewalk. The position also includes the handling and removal to the street of building trash and recycled items. Daily inspection of the entire building, including mechanical rooms, is an essential part of the position.
A candidate must have basic skills and experience in painting, basic plumbing and electrical repair, and the ability to diagnose the nature of building problems. On rare occasions, they must be able to go to the building and handle emergencies on a 24-hour, 7-day basis.
The abilities to keep records and receive and store materials in an orderly manner are required.
This is a Live-out position.
