BIKE CAMP INSTRUCTOR - ALL SUMMER OR SHORT TERM POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Want to work the full summer or just work for a few weeks? You choose!
We've got options for you to work all summer long as a bike camp instructor. We also offer temporary instructor positions if you only want a few weeks of work. Our jobs are flexible - designed so you can choose and enjoy the summer you want!

The Opportunity:
- You will spend your days outside while inspiring the next generation of cyclists. It's active, adventurous, fun and incredibly rewarding.
- You don't have to be a bike expert because we provide training.
- Work dates vary based on locations but range from June 1st 2023 to September 2nd 2023

What you'd be responsible for
In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build, in this role, you'll also be:
- Guide campers on Trail rides
- Actively introduce and teach children designated trail riding skills. i.e., body positioning, steering, braking, and gear changing skills.
- Ensure the health and safety of children at camp
- Act as a positive role model and leader at all times
- Keep constant communication with parents about their child's progress
- Adhere to Pedalheads' teaching standards and safety regulations
Skills, knowledge and experience
Here are some of the skills/ specifics and experience that are important for this role:
- Familiar with basic mountain biking skills, language, and/or culture
- 17 years of age by Dec. 31, 2022
- Knowledge of the local trail networks (or willingness learn)
- Bike requirements vary by level
- Experience and confidence riding green trails (Trail 1) and blue-level trails (Trail 2+): gravel and dirt paths for (Trail 1), single-track dirt and gravel trails with roots and rocks for Trail 2+, small features in Trail 3 ( For BC and Alberta ONLY)
- Committed to keeping our campers safe
- You are energetic, creative, motivated and fun
- Hold or willing to get a current first aid certificate
- You have your Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate/Documents
