Summer Camp Videographer
The Camp Videographer will capture and commission videos for our weekly blogs and social media channels, as well as produce material we can use for marketing. The role involves capturing and editing footage throughout the day, including: sports, outdoor/nature, special events, off-site trips and people videography.
This is a 9-week, full-time paid position for the summer of 2024. The dates will be June 12th - August 10th and the salary is $2925 base plus $150 for travel. Employment also includes food and accommodation. An additional bonus of up to $500 can be issued for candidates with a relevant degree or experience in the field.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Sharp instincts for capturing human emotion
- Strong interest in connecting with others and being part of a community
- Evident knowledge of outdoor people/sports videography
- Strong communication & organizational skills
- A positive attitude and a drive to complete work quickly and efficiently on daily deadlines
- Social-media savvy
- Ownership or access to professional grade video camera and editing equipment
K&E employees should be self-starters who understand the needs of our camp parents. Dedication to high videography standards is a must. Days will consist of capturing moments throughout the camp day. With emphasis on video journalism, sports videos and event videos.
Every staff member has a designated supervisor that will provide regular feedback and support, including weekly check-ins. Staff development is at the forefront of our employee management, and we strive to make sure staff leave feeling more confident in their personal and professional skills.
