Under direct supervision of the school administration team or other delegated certificated employee, works as a leader and oversees the nutrition/lunch period, passing period, and other activities of pupils at a district school site; to write simple reports, and to perform related work as required.
This job opening is a substitute assignment; assignments will vary. This position is approximately 10-15 hours per week. Location: Grand View Elementary, Meadows Elementary, Pacific Elementary, Pennekamp Elementary, Robinson Elementary, Manhattan Beach Middle School, Mira Costa High School. Our Ground Supervisors work as leaders and overseers the nutrition/lunch period activities of students at a district school site; to write simple reports, and to perform related work as required. Example of Duties: - Supervise students at outdoor activities and other nutrition break or lunchtime activities. - Maintains order and performs other assigned duties in the cafeteria and/or outside eating areas. - Render first aid in an emergency. - Reports details of all accidents of any kind to the principal or school office manager in order that a complete accident report will be prepared according to district regulations. - Supervises lunch, school grounds, and hall areas as instructed. - Intervenes with pupils who do not comply with school rules, in accordance with principal/teacher direction.
