We are looking for new talent and great attitudes at all of our locations to enter our internship program.

If you are within 3 months of finishing school or have recently graduated we are looking for enthusiastic students and graduates who are ready to start our internship program. You will be working in the salon and attending classes most Mondays. We pay $10/hr and $11/hr once you are on the floor and before you become a full stylist. We are a commissions based salon so once you are a stylist with W Daly Salon you will be paid commissions plus tips.

Objective: To assist in the service of W Daly Salon service providers, making the guest's experience pleasant while becoming educated by watching/doing and attending classes.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Shampoo:

• Introduce the client to a scalp massage...Only if the client is NOT having a color service.
• Shampoo, explaining what shampoo and conditioners are being used and why.
• Comb tangles out of hair and escort client to stylist's chair.

Chemical Service:•

• Always make sure client has a smock on to protect their clothes.
• Make sure color stains are removed from client's skin after a color application.
• Enter all color and formulas in client's file.

General Maintenance:

• Have towels and smocks laundered and properly stored.
• Keep mirrors, counters and windows clean.
• Wash, clean and sterilize all combs.
• Maintain shampoo area at all times. Keep bowls clean and free of hair.
• Regularly sweep floors, including dressing rooms and front desk area.
• Check bathrooms for towels, toilet paper and soap on an hourly basis.
• Keep trash cans emptied.
• Assist in stocking inventory.
• Complete daily checklist.

Education:

• Attends regularly scheduled classes and receives a passing grade to complete an internship. Excessive absenteeism will not be tolerated while completing an internship.
