STARTING SALARY: $69,513.60 to $89,398.40 ($33.42/hr to $42.98/hr) based on education and work experience.

The essential purpose of this position is to maintain all financial records, accounts, and fiscal transactions for all funds/departments. Provide fiscal assistance to the Finance Director and Assistant Finance Director. Prepare financial statements and reports, manage automated accounting systems, and administer audit procedures. Prepare the CAFR (County Annual Financial Report) for Douglas County which includes the preparation of the financial statement and the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and to implement any new policies or programs such as GASB standards or county policies related to finance. Must target deadlines in a timely and professional manner. May be assigned to be primary and/or back up on Social Services Fund and Pope Douglas Solid Waste Management Fund, Public Works Fund, and the GeneralFund and all other funds
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT HIRE:
- High school diploma or GED, 4-year bachelor's degree in Accounting,
OR - 2-year Associate Degree in Accounting and 2 years of full-time accounting work experience
