Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


1. Regularly participate in continuous quality improvement activities, including, but not limited to attending team meetings, keeping management apprised of any safety or product quality concerns, and staying compliant with policies and procedures in accordance with the Quality Manual.

2. Use personal protective equipment, including but not limited to masks, gloves, and ear plugs when indicated.

3. Picks materials from stock and records such for a particular job in accordance with the Picking Sheet.

4. Notifies Purchases of shortages as directed by Stockroom Supervisor.

5. Issues material from stock to other departments and records such in accordance with paperwork requirements, including but not limited to, entering quantities on the Picking Sheet and/or Stockroom Inventory Transaction form.

6. Receives return to stock materials from other departments and processes according to written process specification.

7. Uses the computer to access MAS200 to inquire about parts, bill of materials, counts, and other inventory related information.

8. Accurately counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles as directed by Stockroom Supervisor

9. Stores materials in designated locations in appropriate containers, including but not limited to bins, bags, and boxes.

10. Rotates stock to ensure First in, First out.

11. Conducts periodic, special, or perpetual inventory counts of stock accurately.

12. Records appropriate information on all required labels, including but not limited to, MAI number, Lot Date Codes, and Quantity.

13. Maintains product identification labels in good, legible order.

14. Maintains inventory and other stock records as directed by Stockroom Supervisor.

15. Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments, including but not limited to, moving a kitted group of material out to the Production Floor.

Language Skills


English is the primary language. Ability to read in English a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to ask and answer questions in English. Ability to print and speak sentences in English.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of dimensions, weight measurement, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and flow charts.


Physical Demands


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or otherwise feel an object; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee is required to be able to detect odors to help ensure a safe working environment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Personal Protective Equipment is readily available and part of everyone’s responsibility to use.
