Job Summary

The Stakeholder Engagement Team Lead role will be responsible for leading the successful execution of the Grid Investment Program’s Distribution Stakeholder Engagement strategy, focusing on championing the customer both internally and externally. The Stakeholder Engagement Team Lead will oversee the Grid Stakeholder Engagement team that includes individuals across the Grid Program Manager and Design Build partners. In addition, this role will support the Stakeholder Engagement Manager in the Storm Center during major storm events. This position requires a strategic storyteller with the ability to quickly process information and produce relevant and engaging content for both internal and external audiences in a fast-paced, high pressure, and cross-functional environment, in support of the company’s Grid Investment efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, public relations, communications, or related field is a plus.

  • Experience in the utility industry preferred.

  • Experience in Power Delivery strongly preferred.

  • Experience in a customer facing role responsible for customer service and conflict resolution strongly preferred.

  • A strong understanding of customer expectations on engagement related to Georgia Power project work.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate complex technical information.

  • Ability to lead in a complex matrix organization with contract employees.

  • Ability to implement multiple engagement strategies simultaneously.

  • Able to build positive relationships and work well with diverse groups, tailoring engagement methods appropriately for cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong communication and presentation skills to internal and external audiences.

  • Proven record of communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership commitment to Safety Excellence.

  • Proven commitment to developing and improving an inclusive work environment for all employees.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee engagement processes between Grid Investment Program vendors and customers

  • Collaborate with other internal communication contributors to review and approve high-quality Grid Investment Program content for internal/external use

  • Develop relationships within Power Delivery, Corporate Communications, and External Affairs

  • Prepare presentations at appropriate detail tailored to specific internal and external audiences

  • Review and approve custom collateral such as mailed postcards, email campaigns, and phone survey campaigns

  • Develop and share customer sentiment reports from survey data and LIMS database

  • Lead customer information meetings and public open houses as needed in support of Grid Investment projects

  • Lead project update meetings with internal partners to share progress and key updates on Grid Investment projects

  • Serve as a resource to oversee and handle escalated customer inquiries

  • Lead additional specific strategic Grid Investment Program engagement initiatives

  • Provide support to the Stakeholder Engagement Manager in the Storm Center during large storm events.
