Staff VP, Vendor Management - VA

Job Description:

Title: Staff VP, Vendor Management

Location: Anywhere in the Continental United States; however, preference is Norfolk, VA.

Responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of sourcing initiatives supporting Service Operations and delegated benefit administration for both Medicaid and Medicare lines of business nationally.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Implements new, expanded, and changed statements of work.
  • Serves as a single point of contact for vendors and business partners.
  • Presents status of engagements and problem resolutions to the senior leadership team.
  • Coordinates timing and clarifies services with business partners.
  • Creates and presents vendor performance scorecards to ensure contract compliance as well as delivery commitments.
  • Oversees operational readiness as it relates to sourcing engagements.
  • Ensures Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work provisions are followed for all Service Operations global engagements.
  • Ensures organizational objectives and vendor initiatives are effectively implemented.
  • Partners with the Product and/or Growth team to provide input on strategic offerings.
  • Establishes continuous improvement feedback loops with partner organizations.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.


Requires a BA/BA in business administration or a related field; 10 + years of project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
  • Vendor Relationship Management is a plus
  • Experience working with dental, vision, and non-emergency transportation vendors
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and CMS
  • Proven leadership experience managing direct and indirect reports
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • MBA
