Summary:
Vivint is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be a critical member of our hardware engineering development team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the hardware architecture, detailed electrical design, sustaining engineering, and engineering validation of Vivint's wide range of home security and automation products.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will be on the cutting edge, developing products that make the smart home even smarter. Others are just getting into the Internet of Things game. This Electrical Engineer role is responsible for leading investigations into new technologies and implementing them into Vivint products. You will provide solutions to complex hardware engineering problems. You will help create the engineering design specifications, develop the detailed design, and perform validation testing to successfully launch new products in mass production, as well as provide ongoing sustaining engineering for manufacturing. You will work closely with your development and manufacturing partners to deliver the next generation of Vivint products.
You will work with a wide variety of groups both within and outside of Vivint that include Industrial Design, Mechanical/Test/Quality Engineering, Software Development, Supply Chain, Product Management, Documentation, and ODM/JDM partners.

Required Skills & Education:
- Bachelors of Science EE degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience including electrons design, sustaining/component engineer, PCB schematic & layout
- Positive track record developing and/or sustaining successful products that launch on time and within budget
- Consumer electronics experience strongly preferred
- A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability for periodic domestic and international travel
- Open minded and positive attitude with a passion for continual learning
