We empower our product teams to solve hard problems - customer and business problems - in ways that our customers love, while driving maximum impact to the business. We staff our product teams with the skills vital to identify solutions that are valuable (customers choose to use), viable (solution works within the many constraints of the business), usable (user can figure out how to use) and feasible (our engineers have the skills and technology to implement). The Product Manager is accountable for ensuring the solution is both valuable and viable.
About the Role
The Total Rewards product manager supplies a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the business such as services, finance, legal, and privacy. The product manager also supplies a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products. Finally, the product manager is expected to track Total Rewards industry trends and the technology landscape and use these inputs to define a product vision, strategy and roadmap.
What you will do
- We look for product managers who understand that consistent innovation is the result of each member of the team contributing their ideas. This role collaborates closely with product design, architects and business partners to discover the most impactful solutions, and then work together to deliver those solutions.
- You are someone who can operate as a designer, both business process and technical requirements, and a product manager to ensure implemented solutions deliver amazing experiences.
- You will be responsible for contributing to large cross-functional initiatives and implementations that enable us to create amazing experiences for our most important asset - our Workmates- to help us achieve our goal of accelerating Workday's business growth.
- While we empower our product teams to identify the best solutions to problems that need to be solved, we also hold those teams accountable to the results. Shipping is necessary, but not sufficient. We look for product managers who are not afraid of signing up for results, even when this means they have to work through others to achieve the vital results.
- This job is an individual contributor role. You will need to influence your teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives, through your use of data and logic.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working on technology-powered products as a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.
- 4+ years of demonstrated ability collecting, synthesizing, and prioritizing user input from multiple sources (users, leaders, competitors, market factors, partners, engineering, management, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience with Workday product capabilities and industry standards for designing best in class experiences.
Other Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience managing total rewards experiences in both compensation and benefit engagement.
- 2+ years of experience managing strategy for the Total Rewards technology landscape.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and product delivery techniques and methods.
- Strong ability to understand and interpret data to develop hypothesis, define experiments to prove (or disprove)
- Ability to identify solutions to hard problems with many constraints, assess risks, and lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
- Proven ability to learn multiple functional areas of business - engineering, design, strategy, etc.
- Proven track record of engaging with engineers, architects, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship

The base pay range for the primary location of this job is listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
