As a Senior Manager of UX Design and Research, you'll lead a multidisiplinary team of designers, researchers, and writers to help define and build the next generation of Talent Management and Compensation tools for Amazon's employees worldwide. Your team will uncover the root causes of employees', managers', business leaders', and HRBPs' pain points in talent processes, measuring the user experience and gathering insights to inform your work. You'll lead your team and partners to build intelligent products and services that offer a consumer-grade user experience and use science to manage talent development at scale, while providing engaging, personal, and human experiences.
Key job responsibilities
* Dive deep to understand the root causes of pain points for employees, people managers, and HR partners
* Breakdown complex problems into simple, human-forward solutions
* Work cross-functionally to drive elegant design solutions from early concept through final implementation and iteration
* Champion cohesion in design that reduces complexity and simplifies the experience, while fostering a strong culture of research and innovation
* Manage complexity and resources by systematically prioritizing multiple streams of work
* Use data and customer insights to confidently defend design solutions with senior leaders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of design experience
- 5+ years of leading multi-discipline Design teams (ie. visual design, interaction design, user research, etc.) experience
- Experience managing teams
- Experience leading a diverse team in the delivery of experiences from end to end (user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity visuals)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience presenting to and effectively advising senior leaders outside of design
- Experience embedding design within product teams for agile design and development collaboration

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $268,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
