Job Description
Justification: The Subject Matter Expert (SME) is needed to continue the project work on the upgrade of the Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency call system. This resource is required to provide expertise and technical specialization on systems with the City during the architectural design, procurement, and the build phases of the NG911 Program.

Work Location: (Hybrid 3 days remote)

Integration Engineer
Assist with the integration and testing of systems & subsystems.
Identify the appropriate sequence and scheduling of integration efforts for Public Safety IT subsystems.
Determine the external interfaces requirements necessary for design and provide direction on the subsystem integration and testing during the NG911 Implementation.
Lead technical discussions in integration planning and manage the action items.
Assist in the coordination with project leads and subcontractors to identify and review all required Interfaces with the NG911 system.
Identify system level use cases and test cases targeted at interface validation, as well as assisting the SDE team, project leads, and subcontractors in setting up and testing the interfaces in the SDE.
Verify all interfaces in the production environment and subsequently augmenting the Test team to perform all end to end System Integration Testing.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Required / Desired
Minimum 12 years of experience in a particular technical and/or business application, product, platform, methodology. Required
7 +years of experience with Storage enterprise level solutions. Required
7 +years of experience with VMware technologies Required
7 +years of experience with Microsoft Technologies, i.e. Windows Server, Active Directory, etc. Required
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Required
Ability to creatively solve problems, deal with ambiguity and a fast-paced changing environment. Required
Knowledge of Citrix Technologies is a plus Highly desired
Knowledge of RHEL Technologies is a plus Highly desired
Excellent communication and clear business writing skills as well as interpersonal skills Highly desired
Knowledge of public safety environments and/or experience working with NYC government is a plus. Highly desired
Skilled in speaking with technical and non-technical parties
