We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Neuroscience Engineering Team in Greater Boston, MA. area.
This position will be a hybrid opportunity requiring onsite work three days a week.

Position Summary:
- You will apply your education, experience, and technical expertise toward developing world-class medical products for X-ray-based, image-guided surgery.
- You will participate in the design, development, and testing with an emphasis on high-power Analog Circuits (> 1kW).
- You will be responsible for addressing component end-of-life issues or other product life cycle issues on the Electrical Engineering side.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use schematic and layout tools (Mentor Graphics PADS and DxDesigner preferred) for PCBA design
- Simulation and analysis for signal integrity (HyperLynx preferred)
- System-level & board-level design of power electronics with large/high voltage and current ranges.
- Digital electronics design on both component and protocol levels, both on-board and in-system (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, RS485, I2C, SPI)
- Propose new ideas and technologies for Continuous Improvement of the product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address field issues and CAPA.
- Collaborate with a remote team dedicated to sustaining projects on major value-added re-designs.
- Maintain and complete appropriate documentation for redesign projects.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is transferred to product line-specific areas during the commercialization phase.
- Plan, design, review, and oversee the testing of devices according to international electrical emission, immunity, and safety standards.
- Travel requirement: 10%
Education and Experience:
- · Must Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- · 6 to 10 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience
- · Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience
- · Extensive knowledge of international medical electrical safety standards (EN-60601-1)
- · Experience with x-ray systems
- · Experience with robotics systems and motor controllers
- · Experience using PLM systems (Agile preferred)
- · Certifications and experience with Lean Sigma, Sigma for Design for Reliability in Manufacturing
- · Experience in electrical emission, immunity, and safety testing of medical devices
- · Experience with lead-acid and Lithium-ion batteries
- · Experience in component reliability analysis on subassemblies
- · Experience using LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, Hyperlynx, and HDL languages for CPLD and FPGA
