The Sr. Director, Strategic & Commercial Marketing, will drive the identification, development and implementation of the Healthcare Market Division’s (HMD’s) customer-facing strategy and solutions. The successful candidate will drive market segment expansion efforts and implement various marketing initiatives within HMD market segments. This includes digital marketing, data science and go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities:Strategy: This role will lead all activities related to developing and implementing business and market strategy for the division across all accessible vertical markets. Implement commercial strategies to meet customer business needs.
Value Proposition: Develop and enhance tangible value prop offerings to our customer and supplier base that impact revenue, EBITA and customer / supplier loyalty.
Digital Marketing: Evolve and optimize our digital strategy to support exponential business growth. Work closely across internal teams to drive critical activities supporting acquisition, expansion and retention initiatives.
Data Science: Lead the Data Science program to generate high quality leads and increase effectiveness of the Sales and Marketing teams. Generate direct-to-customer purchase opportunities, increasing revenue and profitability through the use of data insights and predictive buying behavior.
Qualifications:- BA/BS with major/minor in business or science and MBA required.
- Ability to create a strategic and implementable marketing plan with experience in the development and end-to-end execution of sales and marketing campaigns.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Track record of using advanced statistical methods, information retrieval, data mining techniques.
- General understanding of the clinical laboratory market, with knowledge of distribution business model highly desired.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R).
- Strong business sense and communication skills, as well as ability to effectively present technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer orientation, presentation and problem solving skills.
- High attention for detail coupled with innovative thinking.
- Confidence and poise to maintain a relationship with Vice President-level customers/supply partners and company executives independently.
- Direct selling experience and previous accountability for driving revenue a plus.
- Up to 20% estimated domestic travel.
