The Sr. Director, IT sets the strategy and direction for the IT Systems environment for the company. They have ultimate accountability for the department’s operations, systems roadmap, staff, and budget. Specific functions within the IT organization that the Sr. Director oversees include desktop support, systems administration, applications development, database administration, and IT security.

Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with key business stakeholders, establish the strategy and direction for the overall Systems environment, cybersecurity, IT architecture and systems roadmap for the company.
• Establish a strong understanding of the business(s) within the company as a basis for making recommendations on systems, tools and processes.
• Ability to be both hands-on and strategic as needed
• Oversee the activities related to the design, development and implementation of business systems and tools. Evaluate proposals for developing new systems and tools, determine whether these make sound business sense, identify how the right resources will be either acquired or leveraged in order to achieve results
• Design, develop and implement IT systems and tools that enhance the overall productivity of Inseego employees;
• Establish and lead a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program
• Establish and lead an IT governance process cadence with key internal customers to understand their needs relating to IT systems and services. Evaluate customer requests and set priorities that can be addressed immediately versus at a later time. Set clear expectations as to how IT support will be provided and what services will be delivered.
• Provide day to day direction to technical team responsible for application development and desk side support.
• Constantly look for ways to improve IT systems and services while also reducing operating costs;
• Scope plan of record work and make the best use of limited IT resources by regularly evaluating what systems and services are most effectively provided internally versus through outside vendors (outsourcing). Timely delivery of functionality is key.
• Oversee the development of IT policies and procedures. Lead the development of technology strategies and infrastructure design
• Handle and effectively resolve technical escalations that arise from customers. Facilitate discussions that result in solutions which not only satisfy the customer but are also effective for the business.
• Perform audits and internal control reviews to ensure the integrity of IT systems and Operations

Experience/Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years leading and IT organization in an SMB or large cap business.
• Led major system implementations
• Familiarity with MS Dynamics and NetSuite. Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus
• Cloud experience with both AWS and Azure
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
• Experience in system technology security testing (vulnerability scanning and penetration testing).
• Knowledge of infrastructure technology (e.g. VMWare, Fortinet, O365, Azure, AWS) a plus
• Outstanding leadership and technical skills and sound judgement.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Ability to manage a large number of tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Team Player, flexible and collaborative.
• Articulate and dead-line oriented.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Advanced technical degree desirable

Salary range: $175K - $210K

This base pay range will vary depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Inseego.
