- Develop and maintain business, application, and information architectural blueprint and artifacts for the business.
- Plan, manage, and own the architectural runway for the business through continuous application and technology rationalization.
- Orchestrate initiatives and corresponding strategies between business unit, product, design, and engineering teams.
- Collect, generate, and evaluate new ideas across the business.
- Perform POCs and build rapid prototypes to prove the viability of concepts & ideas.
- Lead a team of architects and partner with the product and engineering team to build the roadmap and execute quarterly plans
- Develop standards, best practices, and processes to support and facilitate technology initiatives.
- Promote DevSecOps, shift left security & quality, and evolutionary architectural practices.
- Research and recommend products and services to support procurement and development efforts.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in developing and testing software programs and applications.
- Build relationships with product, software development, and engineering teams to gain an understanding of application architectures and required functionality.
- Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns across the solutions
- Liaise with software developers and engineers to address issues in sprint and PI cycles.
- Ensure the collection and coherent interpretation of the various business processes affected by ongoing product development efforts.
- Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via integration, platform, and data strategy on those processes.
- Evaluate results of initiatives, perform gap analysis, identify root cause and make recommendations based on findings.
- Where necessary, guide other members of the team.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or computer engineering, and/or 16+ years equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with 5 + years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution level architectural designs.
- Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
- Extensive experience with application development, DevSecOps, modern data management techniques
- Technically fluent in programming languages, including Java, Python, Typescript, Angular.
- Strong experience with integration, platform and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
- Strong understanding of security, scalability and performance of technology infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Able to conduct research into issues and products through standard techniques.
