Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Sr. Business and Contracts Manager, will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing customer-oriented services for Kuiper satellite communication services serving government customers. The successful candidate will have deep understanding of satellite broadband and telecommunication services for consumer, enterprise, telecom, transportation and government customers across the globe.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will work directly with government customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to execute and document cradle to grave contracting actions (management of Government contracts to include subcontracts and commercial contracting actions supporting core development initiatives). You will work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, and be comfortable with processing contractual actions. Candidates must be able to Multi-task different business operation tasks within Amazon, commercial industry partners, and Government customers. The best candidates will have deep understanding of prioritization and task completion.
In this role you will:
• Be responsible for development, execution, review, and sustainment of the KGS Contracting Baseline plan.
• Manage KGS prime contracts with Governments to include subcontracts.
• Support the selection and delivery of business systems to support the company in regards to financial spend, revenue, and contractual management.
• Track metrics in regards to actual contractual spend and revenue; as well as forecasted financials.
• Support proposal development for both Prime contracts and subcontract opportunities.
• Manage and execute commercial contractual actions (business-to-business) for internal core development initiatives.
• Support contract execution through developing request for proposals/quotes, negotiation positions, documenting trade-off decision for leadership, tracking contractual deliverables, and process contract close-out procedures.
• Be a business partner to Professional Services leadership team and executives, providing insights to help shape the strategy of the business
• Provide strategic guidance to area leadership teams, bringing deep knowledge of business operations best practices.
This position is in Arlington, VA. Some travel, both domestic and international, will be required.
