Job Title: Spot Welder
Job Location/City: St. Cloud, MN
Type of Job: Full-time, temp to hire
Hours/Shift: 2nd shift 3:30pm to 12:00am Monday thru Friday
Pay: $_$17 to $23______ per hour, paid weekly.
Job description:
We are hiring an experienced Spot Welder for a metal fabrication company in St. Cloud. This position will run on the 2nd shift, Monday thru Friday, NO WEEKENDS!!. They offer a great benefits package along with a pay raise upon hire-on!
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding operations to production and quality standards.
- Complete all required paperwork and computer transactions in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve weld issues.
- Report quality issues in a timely manner.
The Spot Welder will be welding two or more metal sheets together by applying pressure and heat from an electric current to the weld area.
Requirements:
- Must have own weld helmet
- Prior welding experience is required
- Must be okay with standing, bending, and turning the entire shift
- Must perform a weld test prior to starting
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Proficiency in MIG welding through education and/or work experience.
- Read, and interpret blueprint drawings and shop papers
- Knowledge of safety standards for equipment being run
- Proficient in basic mathematics
- Ability to easily adapt to changing environment
