Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst - Structured Authoring

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be an integral member of a newly formed Agile Product Team that will own Amgen's Structured Content Authoring solution, enabling R&D to redefine common technical document (CTD) authoring and the overall submission processes. The position is located in our offices in Thousand Oaks, CA, or Tampa, FL, or we can also consider remote applicants in a United States. Key Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly scale up your skills on the structured content authoring (SCA) platform, Workiva, including hands-on configuration

  • Perform analysis that allows for the successful translation of business capabilities to solution design for our regulatory content automation program

  • Work directly with architects and product owners to understand and prioritize application focus and rollout

  • Facilitate design and technical discussions, balancing differing opinions and driving key solution architecture decisions

  • Support and maintain the long-term strategic roadmap for content capabilities driven by technology

  • Maintain SDLC documentation using Agile tools such as JIRA

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems or Finance / Source to Pay experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems or Finance / Source to Pay experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems or Finance / Source to Pay experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems or Finance / Source to Pay experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop clear and detailed business requirements and design specifications that can be understood by other delivery teams and business partners

  • Applied experience and knowledge in structured content authoring (SCA) / component content management (CCM) system solutions such as Workiva, InteliNotion, etc.

  • Expert understanding of Regulatory Affairs and/or the submission process within Life Sciences, or other R&D processes lending to the CTD authoring process (Clinical, CMC, Labeling, Non-Clinical)

  • Hands on experience within SaaS and cloud technologies, or data architectures preferred.

  • Enhanced technology knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace applications.

  • Familiarity with any of the following: SQL, JSON, REST, or Python is a plus

  • Prior Experience working in Agile teams with ability to adapt to changes a plus

  • Experience interpreting Agile concepts like User Stories, Personas, Epics, Features, Sprint etc.

  • Possesses strong learning agility and technical know-how - ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into actionable plans for team execution

  • Desire to work with a truly dynamic and exciting team, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a natural ability to convey complex technical topics to diverse audiences

  • Foster a culture of innovation

  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking with solid attention to detail
